Who can borrow from Comhar Creidmheasa Cholmcille?

How long do I have to be a member before I can borrow?

Once you become a member you are eligible to apply for a loan. There is no waiting period or saving requirement needed before you can apply for a loan with Comhar Creidmheasa Cholmcille. New members can join and apply for a loan on the same day.

How much can I borrow?

Members of Comhar Creidmheasa Cholmcille. can borrow up to €75,000, with no minimum borrower amount*. Please note limited offer, promotional loans may stipulate a minimum borrower amount as part of their terms and conditions, please visit our loans at a glance for full terms and conditions.

How are loan applications assessed?

Each application is treated in the utmost confidence and will be considered on its own merits. Loan approval is based on ability to repay and not how much you have in your savings account.

How long does it take to get loan approval?

Once your loan application, supporting documentation are submitted and credit check complete and where required a guarantor is in place, you can expect to hear back from our loans team within 24 - 48 hours.

Can I apply for a further loan before I repay my current loan?

Yes, you can apply for a top up loan at any time, you don’t have to repay an existing loan before applying for another. Please be advised you may be required to clear your existing loan balance to avail of preferential promotional loan rates and terms.

How do I repay a loan?

Once you decide the schedule of your requirements, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, you can opt to repay your loan by standing order, wage deduction, electronic funds transfer, express lodgement or calling into any of our branch offices.

Can I access my credit union account online?

Yes, you can access your account(s) once registered for online banking by logging into the member’s area. Members can also assess their account information on the go, with our mobile banking app.

Both our online and mobile banking app allows members to check their account balances, apply for a loan, transfer funds in and out of your account and request an e-statement.

Members can also select their preferences, if you wish to receive your AGM booklet direct to your inbox, select E-AGM in your member area preferences.
